About this Webinar

Innovation has gone from a “nice to have” to the top priority for most companies because it is the principle means to grow. Like other business processes, innovation can be managed to achieve results. Unlike other business processes, innovation requires introducing risk, embracing failure, and doing things that are counter to most efficiency driving processes. Setting up an organization to innovate requires addressing people, processes, value to the customer, and idea management in an organized fashion. Specifying the approach, the impact on everyone in the organization, and the means by which innovation will occur in an organization drives the business case and increases the likelihood of success.

A survey of over 1000 executives at companies in 63 countries world-wide found that 84% of the companies were planning on increasing spending yet only half thought their innovation capabilities were better than their competition. By treating innovation as a manageable business process rather than relying on lucky accidents, successful innovative companies have achieved growth rates several percentage points above the norm. Understanding the key aspects to do so is critical to successfully innovating.
